FAQ's
What kinds of things do you do?
Mostly my answer to this question is: EVERYTHING. My focus areas are remodeling, carpentry, furniture assembly and repair, mounting, and installation. Cabinetry, decks, doors, among other larger custom projects are also within my wheelhouse. I'm open to any project on your list. In fact, nothing makes me happier than showing up to a full to-do list!
What kinds of things don't you do?
The state of North Carolina limit me from tackling major plumbing, electrical, or HVAC jobs without a certification. Everything else is fair game! If you have a question about a certain type of project, feel free to drop me an email to set up a free estimate!
What are your rates?
I'm happy to discuss hourly rates but would much rather give you an estimate for your entire project. This way, you have the entire project budget in mind. This sets a clear expectation so there are no surprises!
How do I schedule an estimate?
I don't give estimates over the phone, there are just too many variables! I'd much rather meet with you on site (for free) to talk through the project and to make sure that I fully understand your vision. Send me an email or give me a call, and let's set something up! Contact Us
What is your availability and timeline?
Estimates are available weekday mornings, and can be typically be scheduled within a week. With your estimate, I will include a timeframe for starting and a total project time.
Availability often depends on your project's size. Smaller tasks can be scheduled sooner, sometimes even during the estimate! However, larger projects may need to be scheduled further in the future. While we aim to help you accomplish your projects within your timeline, we often book out two to three months in advance.
How far will you travel?
I live in and focus on Durham. However, for the right project or opportunity I'm happy to drive to nearby areas.
What are my payment options?
Check, credit card, PayPal all work for me! I can be flexible with your payment preference and can provide invoices when requested.
